I will be having several uncopmuter savvy family members using my slackware box so i was wondering if i could create a default setup for all of their logins (mozilla firebird and open office on the toolbar etc.)?? I'm running kde desktop.

Create a user account, set the desktop environment exactly like you like it to be. Install your browser plugins (flash, java, etc). Create useful shortcuts on the desktop (or elsewhere if you like).

After that, copy everything in this user's homedir to /etc/skel

And you're done... Now every new user you add will have the same setting as this user. You can safely delete this user's account and homedir when you have copied it to the skeleton directory.
