Data cds detected but not audio..

This has frustrated me for awhile, i can mount data cds no problem using the /mount/cdrom command but when i attempt to do it with audio cds its like they are not even there. I am on kernel 2.6.3 if it matters.

Another problem im having is configuring my adsl modem which is the infamous alcatel usb. I tried using the speedbundle but when doing make install i get a message that say no atm support in kernel. ive tried recompiling but there is no option for atm listed or the alcatel driver, but strangly when i compiled the same kernel on mandrake both of them show up in the xconfig menu.

It is not possible to mount audio cds as they do not have any filesystem.
You can listen your music by xine, xmms, noatun......
I cannot help you about your adsl modem, but have a look into the whole fourm, I saw some time ago a very similar problem.
Ciao

Alcatel SpeedTouch

Above is a link that tells you how to and what you need compiled into your kernel which I have always used

And Andrew Bentons post in this thread gives you a link to what you'll have to alter in the 2.6 kernel source before compiling to get it working properly (the mail archive link in the thread) . He also posted a 330 specific fix on the boards but I can't find it for now

Do you have the cable hooked up between your cdrom and your sound card. I had to do that to get it to work. Must be an oversight. They'll fix it.
