CVS doesn't work.

When I try to get the latest CVS of tuxkart, I get nothing. Heres what it shows...

sh-2.05b$ cvs -dserver:anonymous@cvs.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/tuxkart login Logging in to server:anonymous@cvs.sourceforge.net:2401/cvsroot/tuxkart
CVS password: NOTE: this is where I press enter, thats what it says on the tukart page.
sh-2.05b$

Before it gave an error, but since I think I did it too much it stoped showing. The error was something like, it couldn't find .cvssomething. Can someone help me figure out whats wrong with my CVS. Im running Slackware 10, and its full of problems.

--EDIT--
I cant get the smiley face out of the thing. Its annoying as hell to have those there, and it wont seem to turn off, but if you want to know what that is, its this "cvs -d:<nospace>pserver..."

Did you try to checkout the module/project you want after the login in the cvs server. Try something like this:
Code:
cvs -z3 -d:pserver:anonymous@cvs.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/tuxkart co modulename
Use tuxkart for modulename.
Take a look also at the usage of the sourceforge cvs server here
