Custom Boot Disk
I made a bootdisk to boot my Slackware10.2 system. When I upgrade the kernel how would I go about making sure I have a bootdisk for the new kernel?
Thanks! |
Is your new kernel not too large for bootdisk (floppy)?

I use GRUB as my bootloader. Typing 'info grub' at a command line will bring up a manual that includes instructions for making a GRUB bootable CD. IMHO, this is the only way to fly. I currently have one CDRW which will boot four partitions on two hard drives plus my laptop.

I dont think kernel is too large. I ended up having to make a boot disk during setup since Slackware would not install in the mbr or boot partion. I was just curious what I do after I recompile the kernel.
