[SOLVED] --current, randomly timed kernel oops on bootup of two test boxen

No more bootup problems here as well, the whole system is now looking pretty schmick as my daughter would say: new kernel, new compiler, new xfce, new perl etc etc, all working well .
I think this issue is resolved. Are your two test boxen booting properly now? Thank you for initially posting this issue; I thought it was just me when I got the kernel panic.
Yes I am happy to report that my systems are back to normal as well. I've yet to have any of these issues. The only *very* minor issue I notice is that KDE4 does not recognize a homemade dvd burned onto a dvdrw disc has been inserted, even tho it was burned with k3b. But I can certainly live with this.

I can also happily report that Slackware-current continues to have rock-like stability.
Odd issue with KDE4, Old_Fogie. I'm not seeing that disk identification issue anomaly with XFce 4.6.2 in Slackware-current.
