current mess after upgrade


Hi i upgraded to current and there is a few problems such:

xsane: error while loading shared libraries: libnvidia-glsi.so.340.104: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
i have 2 GPUs intel and nvidia but nvidia 340 drivers wont install, there is problem with new xorg and drivers wont install unless i roll back to old xorg,
the error above i am getting running on intel GPU with nvidia uninstalled

any ideas???

Try the latest nvidia driver: https://www.nvidia.com/Download/driv...x/135161/en-us

You might have a tangled mess with NVIDIA and mesa. If you do then follow the instructions at the bottom of this page regarding removing symlinks and reinstalling mesa and xorg.

I had the same problem and just installed 390.X instead.

Thanks RadicalDreamer that nvidia switch thing is worth checking out. Przemo please update with your progress, interested cause I have the same problem on another computer (this one owrked just fine upgrading to 410.X).

my progress is -- fresh current install, all works fine i had problem with boot-loader famous 99 99 99 but after booting into from install managed to reinstall lilo and is alright, except lilo errors that /dev/sdc is not the first drive and some stuff with graphic card nod recognized but is working

there was some mess in BIOS but luckily i`ve managed to get around it.

System is faster than 14.2 and gimp works much better now,
just getting familiar with sbopkg and ponce current git repo

ps. i did not install nvidia yet running intel or nouveau for the moment
