CUPS prints 1 page as 4 pages

I am trying to print via a Windows shared printer, but when I print 1 page, CUPS processes it as 4 pages. It comes out at a wrong resolution and size on letter paper. Why?
thanks

I don't think it's CUPS. Most likely the setup on Windows was left in that mode. Open the printer dialog on Windows and check the properties.

Hi Geremia , check zoom and portrait/landscape in all places,
the software where you are working, the driver on Slackware-cups page
of that printer, and the settings on Windows, etc...
Somewhere, somebody is sending wrong settings, you must find where and who

I'm using this virtual pdf printer a few months and it is very useful,
at least you can see if from Slackware-side printing is ok.
