CUPS not printing

Hello,

I have an HP LaserJet 1015 running on a Windows XP box. I configured the printer successfully in CUPS (and KDE) on my Slackware 10 box. However, when I want to print I get the following:

D [22/Dec/2004:00:07:31 +0100] [Job 12] renderer command: gs -q -dBATCH -dPARANOIDSAFER -dQUIET -dNOPAUSE -sDEVICE=ijs -sIjsServer=hpijs -sDeviceManufacturer="HEWLETT-PACKARD" -sDeviceModel="HP LaserJet" -dDEVICEWIDTHPOINTS=612 -dDEVICEHEIGHTPOINTS=792 -dDuplex=false -r300 -sIjsParams=Quality:Quality=0,Quality:ColorMode=0,Quality:MediaType=0,Quality:PenSet=0,PS:MediaPositi on=7 -dIjsUseOutputFD -sOutputFile=- -

E [22/Dec/2004:00:07:32 +0100] PID 1191 stopped with status 9!

I have seen similar problems en masse but could not find a solution anywhere.

Also, after reinstalling gs KDE suddenly doesn't see the printer drivers even though they are there - and are seen by CUPS itself (via web interface).

I'd appreciate any help.

Regards,
Roland

Judging from this you may or may not get this working properly.

Sorry to be of no more help, but it looks a little bleak on getting the printer to full capacity. I also checked turboprint to see if they had any better support with no luck.

Here is a search I did on your behalf, maybe you'll find something here that helps.

good luck.
