CUPS not printing
Hello,
I have an HP LaserJet 1015 running on a Windows XP box. I configured the printer successfully in CUPS (and KDE) on my Slackware 10 box. However, when I want to print I get the following: D [22/Dec/2004:00:07:31 +0100] [Job 12] renderer command: gs -q -dBATCH -dPARANOIDSAFER -dQUIET -dNOPAUSE -sDEVICE=ijs -sIjsServer=hpijs -sDeviceManufacturer="HEWLETT-PACKARD" -sDeviceModel="HP LaserJet" -dDEVICEWIDTHPOINTS=612 -dDEVICEHEIGHTPOINTS=792 -dDuplex=false -r300 -sIjsParams=Quality:Quality=0,Quality:ColorMode=0,Quality:MediaType=0,Quality:PenSet=0,PS:MediaPositi on=7 -dIjsUseOutputFD -sOutputFile=- - D [22/Dec/2004:00:07:31 +0100] [Job 12] D [22/Dec/2004:00:07:31 +0100] [Job 12] Closing renderer D [22/Dec/2004:00:07:32 +0100] [Job 12] Process dying with "error closing *main::STDOUT", exit stat: 9 D [22/Dec/2004:00:07:32 +0100] [Job 12] error closing *main::STDOUT D [22/Dec/2004:00:07:32 +0100] [Job 12] KID3 finished D [22/Dec/2004:00:07:32 +0100] [Job 12] KID4 exited with status 9 D [22/Dec/2004:00:07:32 +0100] [Job 12] Renderer exit stat: 9 D [22/Dec/2004:00:07:32 +0100] [Job 12] Renderer process finished D [22/Dec/2004:00:07:32 +0100] [Job 12] Killing process 1193 (KID3) D [22/Dec/2004:00:07:32 +0100] [Job 12] Process dying with "Error closing renderer", exit stat: 9 D [22/Dec/2004:00:07:32 +0100] [Job 12] Error closing renderer E [22/Dec/2004:00:07:32 +0100] PID 1191 stopped with status 9! I have seen similar problems en masse but could not find a solution anywhere. Also, after reinstalling gs KDE suddenly doesn't see the printer drivers even though they are there - and are seen by CUPS itself (via web interface). I'd appreciate any help. Regards, Roland |
Judging from this you may or may not get this working properly.
http://www.linuxprinting.org/show_pr...-LaserJet_1015 Sorry to be of no more help, but it looks a little bleak on getting the printer to full capacity. I also checked turboprint to see if they had any better support with no luck. http://www.turboprint.de/english.html Here is a search I did on your behalf, maybe you'll find something here that helps. http://www.google.com/linux?hl=en&lr...=Google+Search good luck. |
