CUPS does not print to my network LPD printers

I use Slackware64-current and it work well, but I can not print anything, the printer server blinking light , the printer blinkin light but not print, the maximum I obtained is a blank page.(no errors found in the cups log).
The printer is brother HL1430, the ip is lpd://192.168.1.86/parallel 2 ant the server is and old lexmark printer server, who work perfectly with mac OS X 10.5.6

I have been looking for, and I found an old bug on kernel 2.6.24 related in this post: https://bugs.launchpad.net/debian/+s...ux/+bug/213081

that could be playing now the same error than past year with 2.6.24 kernel who that should be fixed with Ilpo patch tcp FRTO?

do you get any error when printing a test page via the cups web admin interface? if yes, what error message do you get? linuxprinting.org says hl1430 works perfectly (http://www.linuxprinting.org/show_pr...rother-HL-1430)

I suspect that you need to install 32 bit compatibility libraries to work with the 32bit Brother driver.
To get my Brother DCP-110C printer working in Slackware64, I installed the glibc-solibs-compat32-2.9-x86_64-1_slamd64.txz package (Thanks Fred!!). I also installed the dbus and cups compatibility packages but I have yet to determine whether these are actually required.
These packages are from slamd64.
