cryptoapi losetup encryption in slackware

I open here another cryptoapi forum... Now I found what's not working in slackware

root@x:/home/x# losetup /dev/loop0
loop: can't get info on device /dev/loop0: No such device or address

modprobe /sbin/losetup
modprobe: Can't locate module /sbin/losetup

modprobe losetup
modprobe: Can't locate module losetup

root@x:/home/x# modprobe aes
root@x:/home/x#

root@x:/home/x# losetup -e aes /dev/loop0 ./ciphertext.img
Password:
ioctl: LOOP_SET_STATUS: Invalid argument

There's something wrong in that isn't it????

Ok I give up and try instead the dm-crypt which needs no patches and is cleaner on 2.6 kernel... where is the option in the kernel??? I can't find it.. wat else do I have to enable???

I enabled multi device support RAID LVM -> devica mapper support and all cryptographic modules... something missing????
