Creative Zen Vision:M player & Gnomad2

hi,
i just bought a Creative Zen Vision:M player, and Gnomad2 now supports it, which is good since i have media i want lying all over my Linux and XP systems.

just a question about Gnomad2, is that simply a transfer program, ie it doesnt screw around with the mp3 players firmware?

should i be able to transfer the media i want off XP, then go on slack and transfer anything else i need? (actually since i have XP mounted i guess i could do it all from slack?)

thanks Ed.

Gnomad2 uses libnjb to communicate with Creative devices. Theoretically, libnjb can update the firmware on a device, but no developer is willing to implement this in an application (e.g. such as Gnomad2, KZenExplorer, etc) or even actually try this (fear of hosing their music players).

So the answer to your question is that Gnomad2 does not change the firmware on your player.
