Creating a boot disk.

I know that this question is common but I didn't found any thread that were similar to my problem.

Anyway, I have Slackware 9.0 on a CD, burned and ready.
Now I need a boot disk so that I can install Slackware.
But the problem is that I have no idea how and what to create.

Some pages/docs tells me to use "RAWRITE Install.1" and other tells me to use the .i files. I'm so confused. What to create?
I don't have any disk right now.

Please help.

You'll need the correct version of RAWRITE whether it be rawritexp or whatever... then you also need the bare.i or other boot image, then install.1 and install.2 from the rootdisk folder. So 3 disks total.

uhm...

RAWRITENT is the one I should use.

In "Bare.i" there's a file called "bzImage", is that the one?

BTW... how do I create the root disks?

Tobbe,

It's not allways necessary to have a boot disk.
Try to config the BIOS to boot from the CD.
Start the computer with the CD in the CD-Rom
It should work.

RAWRITE three floppies:

1. bare.i (bootdisk)
2. install.1 (installation disk)
3. install.2 (installation disk)

Plop the bare.i floppy in first, follow directions. When prompted, insert ye olde burned Slackware CD of endless Linux pleasure.
