Create alias in MySQL?

I'm stumped...

How do I create an alias in MySQL?

In Oracle, I do the following:

Code:
tbl.foo t
If I do this in MySQL, I get an error.

Maybe you could explain a little bit more, I guess tbl.foo is a column from tbl table, in MySQL you could do: SELECT foo AS t FROM tbl;

Also, there's a programming forum here in LQ, next time you may have more chance of finding a good answer there.

Oracle is has many more features than MySQL. As gbonvehi has posted, this is the only aliases I've ever heard of in MySQL.
