could not start Kdeinit

hello when i boot slack 10 from lilo and type startx i get this error message
"could not start Kdeinit check install"
any 1 please tell me what this is about please thanks nige

Could you provide a little more infos, like :
- You can open others window managers but no KDE
- KDE worked before or KDE has never worked in your system

And if you could post the lines that seems relevant in /var/log/Xorg.0.log and /var/log/Xorg.1.log,
that will be nice too

well iv only just installed the system i have only tried kde dont know how to try anything else it was the first time i typed startx thast i got that error message if i knew how to boot a different window manager i would try it i only went for kde cause thats all iv used un the past thanks nige

No problem, type:
xwmconfig

then choose another window manager from the menu and try a startx
