Console Scroll Problem
I have a problem with my console. when I scroll a document (ie. using vi or man), I can scroll the document down fine, but when I try to go up, only the very top line of text scrolls and the rest of the screen stays the same. Not sure what the problem is, I think it may be framebuffer related...
I am running Slackware 9.0 w/ the 2.4.21 Kernel. I have a Radeon Mobility 7500. I tried using radeonfb and vesafb and get the same problem.
Oh yeah, and this is the odd part... if I enter Xwindows and then exit, the problem somehow fixes itself. Any suggestions?

You can use ctrl+L to refresh the screen.

Thanks for the suggestion, but it doesn't seem to help...

I have this problem also. I tried to find a solution previously, but was unsuccessful. What I do now is open vim, :q!, then the whole screen is usable again.
That little tux is cute at the top of the page, but it does hose the screen until you can get access back to the top of the screen.

If it is when you login try typing "reset". If that works then put it at the end of /etc/bashrc
