console resolution

any way to run console at 1280x1024 or 1680x1050?

right now im running 1024x768

Try adding "vga=<number>" at boot.

im using vga=791 but is there higher resolutions?

For 1280x1024, use vga=794

For 1600x1200, use vga=798

You can find a chart with these and other values in /etc/X11/XF86Config-fbdev.
