connection managers on linux

has anyone used pac manager on slack?

http://sourceforge.net/projects/pacm...files/pac-4.0/

I have src2pkg'ed but unable to run the program as - probably dependency hell.

Can't locate OSSP/uuid.pm in @INC (@INC contains: /opt/pac/lib /opt/pac/lib/ex /opt/pac/lib/edit /usr/local/lib/perl5 /usr/local/share/perl5 /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl /usr/share/perl5/vendor_perl /usr/lib/perl5 /usr/share/perl5 .) at /opt/pac/lib/PACMain.pm line 39.
BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at /opt/pac/lib/PACMain.pm line 39.
Compilation failed in require at /usr/bin/pac line 58.
BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at /usr/bin/pac line 58.

I am looking for an excellent connection manager (for telnet) similar to SecureCRT.

I am successfully using 'lcrt' (again, src2pkg'ed) but it is lacking some features I want under an ideal expectation. Also I want to try others as the 'feel' of lcrt is just not quite 100% - although it is still good.

SecureCRT is about as good as it gets without running into too many dependencies.

well, to update this post,
I just could not get slack' working with pac..
it was uuid-ossp that *was* the (ongoing) head-ache; tried including bum-buntu perl-dirs libs etc - to no avail.

However, in my endeavours I have found something even better than secure-crt - lcrt - pac - et-al...

simply, a combo of bash alias(es) 'expect' 'spawn' and 'spawn' 'interact'.

Works a treat for me.

All my boxes are just a correctly chmod'ed text file away from any kind of backup/archive or roll out - it's all massively easy, secure and works.
