conky 1.10 unstable?

I'm 14.2 (multilib), XFCE, nvidia 390.67,conky 1.10.8_pre, built from the slackbuild on slackbuilds.org. The script and conkyrc is basically 2_Wunderground_API/.conkyrc2 from here: https://forums.bunsenlabs.org/viewtopic.php?id=189&p=84 I've attached my specific conkyrc file, in case I did something stupid.

When I upgraded to conky 1.10, it stops updating fairly regularly. By which I'll have to kill the PID of it and restart. I haven't been able to discern what causes it to stop updating, and there's no error that I can see. (Nothing dumped to console, and I'm not running it in the background specifically so I can tell if it's not updating.)

Is conky 1.10 more unstable than conky 1.09? Or is there something else going wrong?

While not the same issue as you, some time ago I had issues with 1.10. I am still using 1.9.

I'm using 1.10.6 for as long as I can remember and never had any issues with it.
But I am only running a clock and date with it.

Interesting. So it's not just me, then. Tempted to go back to 1.9, and I think I've got a conkyrc that will work with it. They completely changed the syntax of it between versions. (Which is another grumble for another time.)

If/when they update, I'll report back. BUt marking it solved.

I support systems at work using Conky 1.10. Yes, the syntax is different and although I have no specific notes, I remember both at work and at home that converting my 1.9 conkyrc files to 1.10 was not a happy camper experience. I don't know if LUA is a wiser or more robust choice. I only know that moving to LUA broke things.
