Confused: My /etc/slackpkg/mirrors has 13.37, 13.1 & current - what is 13.37?
Hello:
Is 13.37 the newest, stable release or something? I have pre-ordered the newest version of the DVD - is 13.37 what will come on the DVD when it arrives? Thanks |
13.37 is the official numeric title of the forthcoming release. I you have pre-ordered it should be 13.37 which is to be released soon. It should tell you that when you ordered it like this.

Hello:
I keep getting the follow error msg: Code:
bash-4.1# slackpkg update Thanks, |
13.37 isn't released yet, therefore these directories don't exist. They will, as soon as 13.37 will be released.
Currently 13.37 is in the release candidate state, so it will come soon. |
You have uncommented a mirror in the listing within the Slackware 13.37 section in /etc/slackpkg/mirrors.
Until 13.37 is officially released, use a mirror from the -current section. |
Thanks Slackers!
marking as SOLVED. |
"Am I doing something wrong?"
-Yes You can't download a version that does not exist yet, it will be released soon. You can download from the latest stable version (13.1) ftp://slackware.mirrors.tds.net/pub/...lackware-13.1/ or current (not stable) ftp://slackware.mirrors.tds.net/pub/...kware-current/ or wait a day or two or... sorry too slow writing... |
