Configuring Lilo to boot a second OS

I'm familiar with editing Grub's "menu.lst" file to add additional OS's to the boot list. Does Slackwares Lilo have a similar config file ? I need to add a second physical drive with Windows 7 on it to the boot options in Lilo. If it's not a config file, how do I add a second os to it ? Slack and Windows are both already installed on two different physical drives so I won't be installing, I just need to add the Windows drive to Lilo.

Add the following to /etc/lilo.conf

Code:
other=/dev/xxx
label=windows
table=/dev/xxx
run
Code:
lilo
to write the changes

Kind regards

Hi -

Code:
http://www.linuxforums.org/forum/slackware-linux/43664-dual-boot-lilo-conf-howto.html

boot = /dev/sda # substitute your actual drive!
prompt
timeout = 20
bitmap=/boot/splash.bmp
change-rules
reset
vga = normal
default=winxp

# linux
image = /boot/vmlinuz
root = current *I'd set this to /dev/sda5*
label = slax
read-write
#

# windows
other = /dev/sda1 # substitute your actual drive!
label = winxp
#

remember to run "/sbin/lilo -v" after editing and saving the config.

I think this is pretty much it, this will default to windows after 20 seconds.

hope this helps, I haven't dual booted in a long time

NB: I am an inexperience slackware user.

There is a lilo configuration file: /etc/lilo.conf

I had Slackware 13.1 and Windows XP on the same pc and all I did, as root, was:
Code:
# lilo
Running this command picked up both Slackware & Windows and placed them in my boot menu, HOWEVER, I had installed lilo to the MBR during the Slackware 13.1 install process.

You can do this, from Slackware, as root, by issuing the following command:
Code:
# liloconfig
and selecting 'Simple' + Standard + just enter + just enter + 'MBR'

NB: I am an inexperience slackware user.

HTH,
