I downloaded and tried to install the driver for my softmodem, heres what I got:

I've tried to install both :

hsflinmodem-5.03.27lnxtbeta03042700.tar

and

hsfmodem-6.03.00lnxt04051300full

Without any success.

Anyone give me a hand with this please?

I have the same drivers working here.

Try copying the file to your linux drive, untaring, and install from there. Since windows doens't use the same permissions values maybe it is having a hard time with folder/file permissions.
