OK, it's up. Thank you guys for helping me troubleshoot this.

lsmod wasn't returning the tulip driver, so I did
lspci
and it showed me that the card is Realtek rtl-8139 It clearly says on the box SFA110A, CD says the module is tulip.

So I
lsmod
again, and sure enough 8139too module was getting loaded.

One thing that I didn't realize is that I needed to reconfigure inet1.conf. I just added yes to eth1 and when I

/etc/rc.d/rc.inet1 restart

for the umpteenth time, it worked.

I guess I thought the new card will be automatically assigned eth0 but it seems like that eth0 is reserved for the my old builtin card.

Well, it'll be reserved if you have a thing in your modules.conf that says "alias eth0 somemodulethatisn't8139too" or if you're passing some boot argument that has the same effect.
