computer freeze during video playback and everyday activity
OK, rather often when I am watching a video or something similar, my computer decides to freeze up on me and I loose control of the mouse.
Actually, the above problem can happen at anytime as I've realized shortly after posting the first time. I don't know if I need to configure the X Windowing System some more or what. Maybe related is the fact that when I use Xine to play videos I end up with a lot of dropped frames. If I use Kaboodle or Noatun I do not have the dropped frames. I just recently installed Slackware 10.1 so it'd be no problem to re-install it if anyone thinks that would be the proper course of action to take. Another unrelated problem that I have is bash not recognizing many commands such as SuperProbe, xf86config, etc. All help is appreciated. |
this usually happens when you have a broken RAM-module, remove (or replace it). Could be something else, but broken RAM certainly does this.
