Compiling xawtv - with checkinstall

After creating the xawtv package using checkinstall (I compiled from source) and installing it, I couldn't find the scantv executable. xawtv is present though, but scantv is missing.

Is there any ./configure option to compile scantv as well because I thought xawtv had this.

Even the binary package from linuxpackages.net doesn't have scantv. And there is no separate way to compile scantv.

Other distros have scantv... it's a mystery how compiling it on Slackware doesn't have scantv.

checkinstall does exactly what make install (or any other command you have it to execute) is supposed to do. So this is not a checkinstall-related question. Neither is it Slackware-related IMHO.

To see options for configure, just issue

Required zvbi and I compiled and installed that. After that it works fine with ./configure --enable-zvbi.

Now scantv is compiled.
