compiling scsi_mod for slack

hi,

i'm an Slacknewbie, and i missed to inclue the scsi modules.
So i can't use my cd burner. I didn't find any understandable instructions to to this on the net.
i only have the ide-scsi module included, all others doesn't exist on my pc.

Perhaps you can help...

thank you

to compile the modules? it's in teh cd-writing howto.. also at http://gentoo.org in the installation instructions there....
Quote:

If you have an IDE cd burner, then you need to enable SCSI emulation in the kernel. Turn on "ATA/IDE/MFM/RLL support" ---> "IDE, ATA and ATAPI Block devices" ---> "SCSI emulation support" (I usually make it a module), then under "SCSI support" enable "SCSI support", "SCSI CD-ROM support" and "SCSI generic support" (again, I usually compile them as modules).
or alternatively (if you're feeling brave) try a 2.6.0 test kernel, SCSI support no longer required
