command to show current display resolution ??
Is there a command that will show the current display resolution?
I've got Depth 16 Modes "1280x1024" "1152x864" ... in my XF86Config. (Can't post it at the moment - it's on a different machine). Doing the Ctrl-Alt-+ and - gives me some weird looking, big resolutions. It looks like I am at 1152x864 rather than 1280x1024 so I was looking for a command that would tell where it's currently set. If one exists. Thanks... That box: Slack 9 KDE AMD K6-2 350  TNT2 M64 32MB NEC E750 128MB RAM |

Cool! Thanks.
I'm on that machine now and this is part of that output. So, it looks like I'm there. Code:
default screen number: 0 |
I was looking for this too.
Ahh well... if it has to be informative and straight-to-the-point, it's almost always from Tinkster :) Thanks to itsjustme too for asking :) Yet another thread to put in my LQ bookmark. |
My pleasure Gents ;)
