Command Line PHP in Slack 10

I need to be able to run php scripts from the command line using php - q on a very small Slackware machine. I installed the PHP package, but I don't have the -q option in PHP. Is there a way to get this functionality without compiling from source? I only have 25 megs free and don't have glibc.

Its too big though. I only have 256 megs to work with, and I have to have it run apache, php, mysql, shorewall, and squid. Theres just not enough room. The only one I had to compile before was squid, because its not on the slackware cds. The others I installed from the CDs and they run fine without glibc.

Feel free to drop the attitude and make your replies at least somewhat more helpful, instead of giving a disgusted type of response.

glibc is a necessary for many of the applications used on Linux. I'm not sure how you did it before but apache is definitely dependent on it and so is Linux as a whole. Most systems running Linux to me would be rather useless without it.

Thats what I thought too, but by installing the packages instead of compiling from source they all worked. Is it possible the packages are statically linked? If so I may be able to save space by compiling it all and not using any packages except for the glibc one. Although even squid worked without glibc. As for why, I have no idea.
