Citrix Receiver problems due to missing libidn.so.11 in -current of 2018-06-21

Hi everyone,

I just would like to share a litte tip with you. If you cannot log in to your virtual system using Citrix Receiver, the reason might be a version bump of libidn in Slackware64-current.

Citrix Receiver expects libidn.so.11, while Slackware64-current has libidn.so.12.6.0. I tried two solution approaches:

(1) Create a symlink:
Code:

# ln -sf /usr/lib64/libidn.so.12.6.0 /usr/lib64/libidn.so.11
(2) Install the previous version of libidn in additon to the current one.
libidn.so.12 is part of the package libidn-1.35-x86_64.txz (packaged for Slackware64-current) and libidn.so.11 is part of libidn-1.34-x86_64.txz. (For 32-bit Slackware the package name is libidn-1.34-i586-1_slack14.2.txz).

I did only a few *VERY* short tests, but as far as I can tell by now both approaches seem to be working.

Have you all tried the Citrix Workspace? I had all kinds of issues with the Citrix Receiver. I was pointed to the Citrix Workspace which is an add on to chromium https://chrome.google.com/webstore/d...oeiflnem?hl=en. Literally go to the link provided and click Launch app and you are done. It even stays up to date for you.

I hadn't, but I have now and it's ended my morning of pain trying to get it to work on Fedora 29.

Thank you!
