Checking out Alien Bob New Slackware Plasma 5.9 Linux & Other Stuff

If you are going to throw up a review on Youtube at least take the time to do a little research first. This is what a GED, and dropping out of ITT Tech gets you.

Anyone willing to give a quick synopsis for those of us who don't want to waste 15 minutes watching what I assume is a poor review?

I couldn't watch more than one minute. It's that bad. Don't watch it or you'll be scarred for life.

What I did see;

Cookie-cutter Linux distro user doesn't know what LIVE ISO means and was mad that he couldn't run it in a VM. (Or more likely doesn't know how to.)

at first he shows the booting, then the login, after that he shows the installed software and the kde live environment.
Then he asks why there is so much stuff installed.
Then he wonders why there are typical xfce applications installed.
He shows the kde system settings and how to change the wallpaper (changes it to "what is this lumina thing" wallpaper)
Then he wonders which package manager there might be installed and searches for it
Then he asks why there is so much stuff installed.
Then he wonders why there are typical xfce applications installed. (yes repeatedly).
Comes to the conclusion there must be more than one DE within his iso, but the iso reads plasma 5 and stuff, so he doesn't get it.

Like Skaendo said: main stream linux distro user is totally unaware of linux.

Alien Bob : never heard of him? He sounds like he been up on a binge for a few days. He can not even to any preparing for his video like downloading it a day early for even 30 before he starts the video himself to burn it to a USB Stick? what was he doing that made him so tired he can't even thought straight?

I think boot time has to do with VM got a shove it into ram that is being borrowed off the hardware?

I donno, anyone can open up something and tell people what they are looking at while showing it to you.

again no preparation whatsoever.

I wasn't going to bash him for not knowing who AlienBOB was because even though I was a long time Debian user ('99), I didn't know who AlienBOB was until I came home to Slackware.

yeaaaahhhhh I can see that point but this is a MR. Linux dude I know how to review different Linux products and not only does he look like hes been on a three day crack binge he doesn't even know what he is talking about.

whereas I bet you do when it comes to the distro you've gotten to know. Paslma5 or something, how long has plsma been out now? and hes speaks of it with I have no idea what this is. and

"Linux & Other Stuff" that is his channel name.. he needs to change it to
"Lets grow together while I learn about what it is I am going to talk about as I talk about it."
