Changing the Language

How do I change the language of my linux/dropline gnome to portugues (br) ??

any ideia?? I know there are a portuguese support for linux ... but Im dont know what to do... when I used debian this was automatic

LC_ALL

change value of your LC_ALL to your language ...

put it in /etc/profile:

LC_ALL=pt_BR

or

LC_ALL=pt_PT

but I dont need to have the localization packages??
