The RAM installed is the same of before , it's 1gb , it's not much but before was enough.
The problem is shown when I open the browser, if I don't it's OK.
Code:
Do you have 'vga = normal' in /etc/lilo.conf ?
This is important for boot not for X Windows
Vga do not slowdown your machine.
but
"everything begins slowly and my sata driver begins to works uninterruptedly."
Yes. It is the sign that 1GB RAM is not enough for you so memory is dumped to swap.
So if you open new tab in browser there is no space in memory to fit. Efect.Slowdown.
2.You can do some tweaks in Firefox for better render.
[SOLVED] Changed distibution and video card and system too slow now !!!
I buddies,
Thanks to your tips I did some tests.
Effectively the problem is amount of ram,
and there is just one explanation why before that amount was enough and now its
to small: the new slackware with new kernel is to heavy. So i will try to configure
mozilla

I honestly don't believe it's a RAM problem, though unfortunately I don't know what it could be, but if it is a problem due to not enough RAM, I find this sad as it's nothing but like watching Linux slowly turn into M$ Windows, back when the answer to any problem on that abortion of an OS was 'Get more RAM'.
Search old forums and BBC's and message boards etc...that was probably the highest given answer by *anyone* who was supposedly some kind of M$ guru. I used to read them just for fun to watch the almost pathetic 'help' that was given to people with legitimate problems with their M$. It was almost as amusing as watching a few Laurel and Hardy movies!
By the way, my old computer, which I build only myself and now is my mom's, is just an old AMD Athlon II X2 250 with 1GB of DDR2-800 RAM running Slackware 14.2 and it runs Firefox, Seamonkey and Opera just fine, with Firefox loading just slightly slower than Seamonkey but not so slow as to raise any complaints so far in the few years she's had this system (yeah, I know...I need to get her something a little more up-to-date, but it'd just be a waste of money as all she does is surf the web and check e-mail. Literally, that's all she does, oh - she also plays solitaire on Pysol).
Well, i've done some experiments, I' ve monitored the RAM with free -m command and when I open Firefox the free memory is really few and system begins to swap uninterruptedly. then i increased RAM and now 2gb are installed in, everything goes better.
The fact is that the kernel in release 14.2 is not for old computer. So next step will be to compile a light kernel by myself, then i will ask help about it.
Thanks all till now.
