Change system time
On my slack 9.1 installation i get the following error message when right clicking the clock and selecting "adjust date & time"

As root you can type "date -s 2121" to set the clock to 12:21 pm. man date for more info.

You can also try a ntp server. ntpdate ntp0.mcs.anl.gov (for instance) I don't know your location, but here is a site with some US ones in it: http://tycho.usno.navy.mil/ntp.html |
