CD Player question
Hey all, I have a quick question about the Gnome default CD Player. I can play cd's no problem when I am logged in as root, but when I attempt to use it when logged in as a user, I get a "Drive Error" message. My fstab is apparently set up right:
Code:
/dev/cdrom /mnt/cdrom iso9660 noauto,user,ro 0 0 |
Code:
/dev/cdrom /mnt/cdrom iso9660 noauto,owner,users,ro 0 0 |
I too have a similar problem, but its nothing to do with fstab, its because only root can play sounds
I havnt been able to solve it yet tho! |
Try changing permission /dev/dsp0
chmod a+rw /dev/dsp0 and the cdrom too whatever device cdrom is pointing to ls -l /dev/cdrom then chmod a+rw /dev/hdc or whatever |
