Hello back!
If I capture from my digital camera (firewire connection) using dvgrab or kino, the capture works fine but the file size is too big (around 1Gb every 5 minutes or so). So, if I want to capture a 2hs cassette, it will take around 24Gb!!!
How can I capture the video in a compressed format using dvgrab or any other software you know?
For instance, to capture from a videocassette player (VHS) through A/V, I use the following script:
To work properly, everything should go on one line.
Code:
#!/bin/bash
mencoder tv:// -tv driver=v4l:device=/dev/video0:input=1:width=720:height=480:fps=30:norm=ntsc:chanlist=us-cable:saturation=-20:contrast=-20:audiorate=48000:immediatemode=0 -vf denoise3d -oac mp3lame -lameopts fast:preset=medium -ovc lavc -lavcopts vcodec=mpeg4:vqscale=4:aspect=4/3 -ffourcc DX50 -o composite.avi -quiet
This results in a file with a size of, around, 600Mb per hour.
I would like to do something like this when capturing from the digital camera (firewire). Quality should be good too. I have to capture 12 cassettes!
I will appreciate your help,
Thanks my friends!
