Based on what I've read here, Canon's can be problematic on Linux. Canon's Linux support seems to be spotty at best.
I have have had several HPs and they have all performed flawlessly with Linux. HP's Linux support, in my experience, is the best of any printer manufacturer.
Canon printers can be hit and miss. You can sometimes find drivers from Canon. If you have a specific model in mind then search the Gutenprint Supported_Printers page to get an idea of what might be supported.
I have a Canon PIXMA MP 258, used Canon provide drivers for a while, then the printer showed up as supported in Gutenprint, which means support in Slackware. It's starting to fail, I will probably go with HP.

And particurally to the Canon Pixma G3510 printer.
Canon offers Linux drivers for this printer and normally it shouhd work for Slackware.
Any experience with this printer will be welcomed
The best I can suggest is using LQ search for MG 3550 or MG3550.
There are a couple of threads about experiences with that model that I have been following. It may be close enough to be helpful, or if you’re lucky, it may be the same model named slightly differently for a different market.
You mentioned good experiences/Linux support with HP, which I have also had with an ink cartridge printer.
Do you know if HP offers ink tank printers in your country(ies)?
Like the OP, I’m interested in getting an ink tank printer. HP doesn’t offer them in Canada, either through HP.ca or through big box stores.
I googled, but only found what looked like discontinued models around the world.
BestBuy here carries only Canon and Epson in ink tank versions. I’m leaning towards Epson, but if HP offers them somewhere else, I might risk the lack of warranty and pick one up when travelling. 120 V / 60 Hz preferred but I might be able to work with 220 V / 50 Hz.
Why I’m looking at ink tank printers: I calculated that, with my family’s usage, the ones I looked at on sale at BestBuy or Staples will pay for themselves in a couple of years compared to the last two cartridge printers I’ve bought, also on sale.
I keep my printers going for many years. It would pay off even if I didn’t use up all the ink.
I look at the Epson Linux divers for the Epson Eco tank ET-3750 but only find .deb or .rmp packages for Debian or Fedora.
Of course I can convert them by rpmtotgz into Slackware package and install it but I suppose it will not work correctly
Unpackaging the Debian package, I see it all install in /opt/Epson.... Is there a way to find where to install this sruff in Slackware in order the driver works ?

I've used rpm2txz (with -c -S -n -d switches) for an Epson scanner and Brother printer without any problems. The Epson site should have instructions on whether anything needs to be uninstalled first or if installation order is important. Unfortunately that's a sample size of 1 Epson example, so there's no guarantee that it will work out of the box with the drivers for your selected printer.

In my Epson case it didn't matter which directory I placed the txz files before installing.
