Cannot send files through amsn or mercury
People, I've already tried the software forum, networking forum...I don't know what to do. I have even disabled iptables on my kernel and recompiled, but it didn't work. I still cannot send ANY file through amsn or mercury. I beg you, please, helpppp!!!!

I looked at the sMSN site and noticed quite a spread between news updates which makes me wonder how actively the software is being developed.
Have you tried Gaim? It supports MSN among many other protocols and is more popular.
By the way, there is no need to beg. If you don't get an answer to your question it is most likely that no one knows the answer.
Helpful information would be to post what you've tried and what, if any, error messages you received.

I use a SVN version of AMSN and file transfer works quite well

Yeah use the SVN version (see the cvs snapshot link on the website).
aMSN is actively developed, in fact 0.96RC1 is tagged. They don't release often but the development has never lost speed. There was much to do. I recommend that 0.95 users switch to the cvs snapshot immediately, as there are huge improvements and important fixes since 0.95.
