Download the packages from the link above. Open up a terminal (in KDE use "konsole"), cd to the directory you downloaded the .tgz files to and issue:

Code:
su -c "installpkg libdvdcss-1.2.8-i686-3dl.tgz libdvdnav-0.1.10-i686-2dl.tgz libdvdread-0.9.4-i686-3dl.tgz"
You'll be prompted for the root password.

Download the 3 packages, cd into the directory you saved them at, then:

Code:
installpkg libdvd*.tgz
Edit: Failed to note a second page had already been started and I was late by a few hours.

libdvdcss is not shipped with Slackware (it has questionable legal status in the USA due to the DMCA). You can grab Dropline's packages for libdvdcss, libdvdread and libdvdnav from this sourceforge page:

http://sourceforge.net/project/showf...ckage_id=71205

(you may have to expand the tree - they're in version 2.10.0), and install them using the installpkg command.
That did the trick.

But playback is choppy. I ran "xine-check", and it said everything is okay except that, "Your X server doesn't support YV12 overlays" and "Your X server doesn't have any XVideo support" (but it also said, "[ good ] found xvinfo: X-Video Extension version 2.2"). Any suggestions?
