cannot get to www on ppp dial-up
i have installed slackware 10.0. i used pppsetup to configure. i am able to connect to my isp ok. when i try to use mozilla or netscape to access www, both web browsers appear to work but after about 1 minute a screen appears saying google cannot find the servers and did i type the addresses correctly? i have used xandros in the past and had a simular problem with the built in firewall. for that problem i did not enable the firewall. so far i have found two files for firewall-masq and firewall-standalone. could these be the problem? i don`t know how to reset their options. thanks for the help in advance. newmanone
