cannot find libgnomecups for download
Hi!
It may seem a bit silly, but I googled for the libgnomecups version 1.0 or greater, but could not find one for x86 32 bit platform.
It is required by libgnomeprint.
Does anyone know where to find it?
Thanks

Hi
I presume that you want to use gnome.
As cups works just fine without libgnomeprint?
There is a package for slack 10 on linuxpackages, but I dont know how much joy you will get with this, because I use KDE or something lighter.

No, I do not want to use Gnome. I use fluxbox and I want to install gedit, which requires a few packages that I do not have installed and one of these packages requires the libgnomecups. Hope it makes sense.
Thanks

I apologise if this sounds rude.
Use another editor, this all sounds like a bit of overkill when you could use another piece of software, after all editors are editors for most people, and those that require syntax highlighting etc tend to use more advanced editors.
I require minimal editing so I use either kedit or mcedit or vi (gui, cli, rescue).
xedit requires little or no dependencies and is lightweight, and I am sure there are 100+ more that you could use.
Gnome dependencies are pigs, that could be why Pat dropped gnome from Slackware.
