cann't find g_set_error_literal

I am trying to install gnome games on my slackware 12.2 and I have run into a problem. In doing my whole chain of ./configure od all the required gnome software I find I cannot build gnome-keyring. It configures ok, but when I make I get an undefined reference to g_set_error_literal. An nm of all libraries does not find it and also looking for it on a Ubuntu gnome system does not find it.

Anybody know the answer to this one?
A web search found it in a GLib reference, but it is not in libglib.so.

problem solved

Installed the latest glib 2.0 and that fixed the problem. Don't know why the ./configure didn't complain.
