Can I NOT install KDE and use fluxbox?
I am installing a slackware 10 in my P133 96MB Ram 1.5GB HD laptop. I am planning to use it for programming and sometimes to browse forums and read .pdf (like doc. n stuff).

Tried fluxbox with Redhat 9 in a PII box where there ain't much limitation on HDD space but now I am working on much less resources..

Will fluxbox work without the installation of KDE?

Yes, you can install them all or just one if you want too.

Thanks a lot. But I hate the Slackware installation process that it won't check for available disk space against selected packages.

When you go to install Slackware, remove the KDE, KDEI and GNOME folders and you wont have them installed.
