Can’t suspend nor hibernate since Beta

Hello,

Since Slackware went into Beta stage, I cannot suspend nor hibernate. I know other people have this issue, but I can’t find any really similar to mine. Can you help me? I’m using Zenwalk.

looking at the trace the issue seems to be this, related to the xfs filesystem: most probably the fix hasn't got yet in 4.4.x.

I just installed the Beta 2 packages, and the problem is still here. So this is related to XFS. That’s sad.

In fact, this doesnt hold up. I have two machines, both with XFS file systems, and only one has suspend problems.

I have no problems with suspend to ram or hibernate. But I use grub2 and I go direct to run level 4 in my /etc/inittab my grub has a resume=/dev/sdxx so

Code:
CPU: AMD FX(tm)-8350 Eight-Core Processor (4000 MHz)
Memory: 11979 MB
OS Version: Linux 3.10.17 #1 SMP PREEMPT Thu May 28 09:59:55 CDT 2015 x86_64
Graphics Card Vendor: NVIDIA Corporation
Graphics Card: GeForce GTX 960/PCIe/SSE2
OpenGL Version: 4.5.0 NVIDIA 352.79
I use the proprietary driver. on my old asus MB.
I had issues with NVidia. in 14.1.
after upgrading to a newer system. went megabyte
with this bundle I have had no issues.
I spent a long time tweaking to get the other system
finally got a hybrid suspend to disk.
It all came down to my bios and MB.

The problem has been solved thanks to a kernel update.
