Cool. If you have time, I wouldn't mind IM'ing you about your gnome install. Been so long I have to install/set it up first. Looks like we are on oposite sides of the globe tho... might be hard time wise.

I'm not seeing your Yahoo handle on your profile tho..

For those autoconf errors, try running 'autoreconf -if' in the sources after unpacking and before running configure.
You actually should only need gtk2(atk,cairo,pkg-config), ORBit2 and libIDL. Be sure to check that there are no conflicts as ORBit2 may install libIDL.

Hello there.

From where did you get the gconf packages??? I've been looking for it everywhere on the net. Perhaps on the dvd?

GConf packages can be found on ftp.gnome.org , however i had to compile the whole Gnome to get rid of gconf related errors.

EDIT: i mean gconf source files... i don't know of any gconf packages for slackware but you can check www.slacky.eu or slackbuilds.org for them.

Thanks for the reply. Nonetheless, i've read that compiz comes embedded with slack 12 already. So i guess i just need to activate it somehow. I will skip the installation and start looking for a way to get it running.

Thanks too much man.
