I seem to be encountering quite a few problems with Slackware (14.0). My most recent problem is that I can't get Slackware to hibernate. Unfortunately for me, hibernation is something I can't live without!
I've made the necessary changes to lilo.conf (append="resume blah blah blah") and my swap partition is a little over twice the size of my RAM.
I have tried hibernating from the KDE menu and I have tried it from the command line with "pm-hibernate" based on the suggestion here:
http://www.slackwiki.com/Hibernate. The machine shuts down without a problem, but when I restart, my session hasn't been saved! Instead, I find myself in front of a plain desktop once again.
Has anyone else encountered this problem, and if so, how did they solve it?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Danke schön.
