Can't delete printer in CUPS

I have a printer in my CUPS printers list that I did *not* put there. I know this because I just reloaded Slackware a few hours ago. Using the web interface to CUPS I can't delete it or do anything with it. It's not listed in /etc/cups/printers.conf. It was in /etc/printcap but I deleted it there. Still not gone from the web interface though.

I wouldn't worry much about it except that I suspect that it is causing some confusion to programs when they want to print.

Any ideas?

... and you rebooted after removing it? (not quite sure _when_ 'printers.conf' is read - so rebooting seemed the safest)

ooops - changed my mind - if you stop and then restart cups you should be ok ...

Hmm - I read your post wrongly - not quite sure when '/etc/printcap' is read - have you tried rebooting?

OK. It's gone now. I unchecked "show printers shared by other systems" and ... it was gone. Thanks for the replies.
