I see over at the git page that 1.16 has been released. I don't see an official announcement on the Mate homepage. Is 1.16 considered a stable release now?

Well, 1.16 is listed at http://pub.mate-desktop.org/releases/.

Yes it has been released but the announcement is a little bit late

Master branch is updated for 1.16 already

Yes, we found out later that newer vala produced a C functions for newer GTK version so we need to downgrade it

Hey Willy, does pub.mate-desktop.org support rsync? I tried to sync the 1.16 sources from there and it just hangs. No error or nothing, just hangs.
