C Compiler Problems

I am running Slackware 10.2 with 2.6.15.4 kernel running Stable
I was installing some network programs from source last night . Now whenever I do a ./compile I recieve the following error:
Code:
checking for C compiler default output... configure: error: C compiler cannot create executables See `config.log' for more details.
The config log is really long, but here it is:
Code:
 This file contains any messages produced by compilers while
running configure, to aid debugging if configure makes a mistake.

It was created by configure, which was
generated by GNU Autoconf 2.57. Invocation command line was

  $ ./configure

configure: exit 77
Also, if I ./configure as root everything is fine. I think the permissions got changed but I do not know which ones. I also reinstall all gcc pkgs so it is not gcc.

Thanks

cc1: /usr/local/include: Permission denied

That might be it. Look at the permissions for /usr/local/include.
