G'day,

Have any of you encountered this phenomena? It's not in my way, but I have a small problem reading it... :D

Hmmm...

I do remember one time in KDE 3.5.10(?) after changing to russian or something, then back to english, there were some random places like that where there was still russian showing

No idea why...

Never seen this happen before.
Kinda strange that just one item is changed. I haven't change language settings.
But together with replacing the sluggish Dolphin (another annoyance) with thunar as main file manager, I can live with this.

You can never trust users when they report such a problem...

Please check again: Are you REALLY sure you are not Japanese?

:Pengy:

Let me just check my mirror, hmm... no.
Besides, even though Slackware is great, I doubt that it (or KDE for that matter) can determine the users ethnic preferences. :hattip:

Hi! That is not a KDE issue. Did you install LXDE? That is LXTask.

Indeed, I have LXDE installed! What an "aha-experience"! Though I asked mostly for fun, it's so good to know what the h*ll happened. Thanks a bunch, ~sHyLoCk~!

I have done some hopping between other DE's to see if there is a smoother alternative to KDE 4 until;

A) I get composition more swift,
B) I get a more powerful box,
C) I get used to it,
D) All above.

LXDE is really nice and fast, just wish the trashcan on the desktop was working.
For the moment I use GSB/Compiz, but my goal is to switch back to KDE.

I mostly use LXDE. It is really nice. Lightweight and has LXMenu- lists all the installed application which is really helpful to quickly search. That is a big advantage over fluxbox or any WM.
