Am getting errors in bootup regarding bttv some of which I posted in Missing modules (this forum). Plus
1) I am getting:
i2c_core: exports duplicate symbole i2c_smbus_write_i2c_block_data (owned by kernel). Can someone explain this and why?
2) Getting:
bt878: Unknown symbol bttv_gpio_enable (also for bttv_read_gpio and bttv_write_gpio). I need help figuring these out?
3) the bttv document (Sect 3.2, line 392) is a bit confusing because from the sentence it is unclear if btaudio is needed for 2.6+.
/usr/src/linux-2.6.21.5/Documentation/sound/oss/btaudio
is the only btaudio I have installed. Has this been superseded by tvaudio??
4) I copied the modprobe info from the BTTV document (sect 4.4) to my modprobe.conf and replaced the card and tuner type info with mine.
I had to comment out the "pre-install" line as it failed.
Now I am getting a fatal error:
modprobe: Fatal: Error inserting tuner /lib/modules/2.6.21.5-smp/kernel/drivers/media/video/tuner.ko: Unknown symbol in module or unknown parameter.
Should I just remove it from modprobe.conf? Is this a consequence of document aging?
